The Hot 100 List from AfterEllen.com.
mm. The androgeny and the tomboys, the smiles, the hair, the eyes, the wrists.
I wonder if The L Word is worth watching. And Imagine Me and You sounds interesting. I wonder if the ending is happy or sad.

I found the L Word hopelessly depressing and the characters insanely petty. I really liked Queer as Folk, though.

Shrug. I thought they were all incredibly hot, but I didn't see much tomboyishness or androgyny in that crowd. Was there a particular example that caught your eye? I gave up on finding anything even vaguely butch after about #20.

I suppose Portman's shaved head doesn't count. I guess they mentioned a few people I already like, like Jodie Foster and Piper Perabo.

Right... Portman is really never going to strike me as tomboyish, even with her head shaved. Jodie Foster does, but the picture they used of her was really femme-y. I don't know most of the people on the list. Mariska Hargitay, who I adore on Law&Order with her tough, tomboyish character was shown in a really femmey photo too.

Clea Duvall (#40) is hotness incarnate, IMO :). A cross between butch and girly.

I really dug her in Carnivale, too.

I haven't seen it. "But I'm a Cheerleader" is what hooked me.

If I recall correctly,
Imagine Me and You
ends happily.

Which makes it one of two happy lesbian movies? I don't count
But I'm a Cheerleader.

I think When Night is Falling and Better than Chocolate both had happy endings; I don't remember how Go Fish ended.

I'm kinda impressed at just how plastic the photos in that article are (at least the first two pages; I didn't go further); they make even the women I think are hot look fake, like people I wouldn't want to know.

Go Fish had a happy ending, in a standard date movie kind of way.

Generally a good list, though I'm kinda sad that Grace Park (while on the Maxim list) wasn't on this one while Katee Sackhoff was. Though if you going for tomboys, Starbuck definitely takes it.

I have heard so very many bad things about The L Word.

And I can't look at the hotness. :( Silly internet.
